Staff Room

 

Staff Room Refurbishment and Expansion:

Teaching can be a tough, complex job. We recognize the commitment of the SJSS teachers and administrators to their students and the positive influence they have on their lives. To provide our teachers and administrators with a supportive work environment we refurbished the existing staff room and added a new staff room.

 

Staff rooms boost the morale of teachers. Having a place that they can call their own in the workplace is essential for them to bond and feel like part of a team. Making members of staff feel like they belong and are supported reflects onto the students as well and will improve results all around.

 

This project will provide teachers with:

A place to work undistracted by students

A place to connect and socialize with fellow staff members

A place to escape and have some privacy

A place to store important documents and books

A place to store personal belongings in a safe and secure environment

A place to conduct meetings

 

 

 

The project involved:

• Repairing doors, walls, and electrical fittings
• New floor replacement
• Refurbishing the staff room kitchen
• Refurbishing and converting an unused room into an additional staffroom
